How to clean up a wall infested with mold due to humidity and moisture

ACCESSORIES: Glass paper, foam roller, special brush for enameling, bucket, masking tape.

PRODUCTS: Primers: Fungistop Plus, Primer for Absorbent Funds - Finish: Plastimat 2 FBA, Sanivic, Cleanvic.

First, clean up most of the mold using a brush or a cloth. Once you can no longer remove the mold by rubbing the surface, apply a liberal layer of Fungistop Plus (undiluted) with a roller or brush in the affected areas as well as around these areas. This operation can be repeated, if required.

If the surface to be painted is in poor condition, either because the old paint is not properly adhering or because it is a lime-based paint (powder may come off the paint when scrubbing), scrape any poorly adhered paint off the wall with a scraper and apply a coat of waterborne primer before the first coat of paint.

If the old paint is in good condition, apply the first coat of emulsion paint with a spool and directly dilute with 10–15% water (according to the technical data sheet). Then, let it dry.

In the event the surface presents surface planar flaws, apply putty in these areas before applying the second coat of emulsion paint. Let the putty dry completely and then rub with glass paper so that it is not noticeable.

Last, apply a second coat of emulsion paint with a roller after diluting with approximately 10% water.
