How to paint outdoor wooden elements

ACCESSORIES: Glass paper, Roller, Brush, Small bucket, Masking tape.

PRODUCTS: Impregnating: HK-Lasur, Iruxil, Teak Oil - Finishes: Marine Varnish, Iruxil W, Langzeit Lasur, HK-Lasur.

First, check the condition of the wood that you have to varnish.

If it does not have a coat of varnish, rub the entire surface with glass paper to open the pores. Next, remove the dust created and apply a coat of impregnation or colored oil (never transparent if it is outdoor wood) with a brush. Impregnations or teak oils help clean inside the wood.

If you want a “rustic” matt finish that does not form film (ideal for wooden pergolas and garden furniture), apply a second and third coat of the same impregnation or teak oil. Please keep in mind that the more the number of coats, the darker the wood. Therefore, you must consider this in advance and choose the color properly. You must know that the darker the color, the more protected the wood will be from UV rays.

In the event that you want to apply a coat of varnish with a satin or glossy finish, apply 2 coats of varnish with a roller or a brush on top of the first coating, at an interval of 24 hours each.
